Position Summary: The Account Manager serves as the main point of contact between the Company and assigned clients. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the quality of services provided to our clients. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

● Manage and schedule foreman and crews for the Landscape Maintenance department for assigned clients

● Perform scheduled site inspections and relationship reviews of assigned clients

● Conduct contract start-ups in coordination with Director of Operations, as assigned

● At a minimum, conduct biweekly site inspections of each assigned commercial and residential client, more frequent as needed, followed by completion and submittal of inspection reports

● Conduct appropriate site visits, email or phone calls with clients upon receipt of customer service requests

● Communicate customer service issues to the appropriate foreman and crews, and determine

corrective action is needed (e.g., maintenance, spray, irrigation). Inform department manager of any corrective action needs

● Re-inspect client sites upon completion of corrective service actions and notify customer of completion

● Complete and send to client inspection reports

● Submit inspection reports and schedule to your supervisor on a weekly basis

● Perform routine landscape maintenance activities as necessary

● Source and assist sales with client-initiated maintenance, enhancements, tree, irrigation, lighting, with emphasis on current client base by upselling the company’s services

● Conduct new business development, as assigned

● Oversee daily maintenance of tools, cleaning of equipment, trucks and/or vans

● Identify site specific equipment and supply needs and submit requests to the Director of Operations

● Immediately submit ALL accident reports to your supervisor

● In cooperation with the Director of Operations identify, interview, and hire foreman and crew technicians, including termination of an employee as appropriate

● Conduct appropriate training of foreman and crew technicians

● Verify and approve daily timekeeping of assigned crews

● Daily problem solving and response to last minute issues is essential

● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Authorities: Hire and terminate foreman and crew technicians under the direction of the Director of Operations

Knowledge and Skills Required:

● Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

● Excellent organizational abilities. Ability to prioritize projects, handle a multitude of activities simultaneously, problem solve, and pay thorough attention to detail is essential

● Understanding of quality principles, continuous learning, customer focus & service, teamwork & partnering skills, be professional, courteous, and always act with respect and integrity

● Appropriate level of understanding of the landscape business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc.

● Ability to gain an understanding, embrace, and use the Company’s internal databases, platforms, and associated technologies

● Demonstrated capacity to embrace change. Ability to manage work under pressure

Education and Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a related industry is required. Minimum 1-year experience in direct contact with clients and dealing with customer service. Experience managing and scheduling crews is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for the services provided by the Company. Physical labor may be required.
